Day 114

This will be a picture-heavy post, but Jade and I did a lot today. We started off our morning at Delightful Pastries and it was such a great start to our self-guided food tour. We could have spent all day in there and wanted to take one of everything out of their case.

My breakfast - the Italiano Omelet with Proscuitto, Sun-dried tomatoes and Provolone cheese. Yum!

After Delightful Pastries, we headed to Old Town Oil and sampled yummy, speciality olive oils.

Then we went down to Spice Merchants and looked at all of their spices.

After we dropped off our pastries, olive oils and spices at our hotel, we headed to Phoebe's Cupcakes. We thought we'd never get there but it was worth the trek!

From top left: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Salted Caramel, Death by Chocolate, two Breakfast cupcakes and a Peanut Butter Fudgy Cupcake.

For dinner, we decided to go to Rick Bayless' Frontera Grill. So good. Oh so good. We got in line at 4:45 and this is what it looked like. When we got inside to put our names on the list, it was a 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait. So we did a little shopping and came back.

My dinner - Flank Steak.

Jade's dinner - Goat enchiladas.

Great Day 2 in Chicago!
