Day 31

Icicles outside of the back-door. It's pretty much like taking your life into your own hands. Poor Jack bears the brunt of the ice attack.

One month down of 2010. Eleven more to go! It's crazy how fast this year is already going!

Day 30

Today we went over to a nearby hill and met up with Caitlin and Ret to go tubing. Brian and I went together and ending up crashing into the fence. (See above picture)

Then, Caitlin and I went and went sliding down into the parking lot below. It was great to act like we were kids again, but we definitely felt the burn after climbing up the hill a few times.

Day 29

Procrastination at its finest. I wait until the morning of the supposed ice/snow storm to go stock up on necessities. I need a pound and a half of ground beef, but there was no ground beef to be found. I guess everyone wanted to make chili this weekend..?

As of 1:30pm, it has finally started to snow. Once it gets a little thicker outside, we'll take some pictures of the lovely snow!

These were taken at about 2:30pm and all of our footprints are already covered up. Jack's not too sure about the snow...he doesn't like to get his little paws wet. It's still snowing right now and it's really coming down hard. We're at 4 inches of snow right now, and we're supposed to continue to get more snow this evening.

Day 28

It hasn't been that exciting of a day, but the big focus of the day has been the weather forecast. While, an inch of snow is not much for anyone living up in the north, it shuts down towns in the south. God bless Pizza Hut and delivery because the grocery stores were packed! We'll see what this storm actually does tonight and tomorrow.

Day 27

Jack got a new collar tag today. It's from Fetching Tags and I originally saw them on Pioneer Woman. If Jack would stand still, I'd have a picture of him wearing it. But that's not going to happen. He's very camera shy!

Haircut day! Had I been prepared, I would have taken a before picture. But trust me when I say I had a few inches chopped off. Also, please forgive the awful office-bathroom-self-portrait...it's really difficult to take a good picture through a mirror.

Day 20

We went out to a local German restaurant to celebrate my Dad's birthday. It was $1 beer night if you brought your own beer stein. So Brian and I took our steins from Stuttgart, Germany and the very German, Medieval Times. :)

Day 19

I love that it was 7 degrees two weeks ago and now it's 70!!! How awesome! If only we could stay outside all day...

Day 18

I had the day off from work for MLK Day, so my mom and I went up to Northwest Arkansas with my bestie, Caitlin, and her mom. As usual, we had a wonderful lunch at Hammontree's. I had the Crawfish Bisque and half of a Parmageddon. Why was this restaurant not around when I was in college???

German Chocolate Cake for Dad's birthday. So good!

Brian gave me this calendar as a Christmas present, and I love it. It's so inspirational.

Sorry this is late. Tonight I saw The Lovely Bones with Caitlin and Heather. Awesome movie but very freaky! I can't look Stanley Tucci the same way again!

My wonderful mother came over today and helped put away the Christmas decor. My living room feels so much bigger now.

Back to work tomorrow. Cabin fever, be gone!

Day 11

I'm still sick so we haven't done much today. I'm really missing my kitchen! Jack just is loving that he gets to nap in all sorts of weird positions.

Sickness update: Went to the walk-in clinic and I have a viral upper respiratory infection. He told me to stay home from work for a couple of days. Cabin fever, here I come...

Day 9

Being sick is no fun. I haven't taken a liquid medicine since I was about 4 years old. But if it will make me stop sounding like a chain-smoker, I'll keep knocking it back until I'm back to normal!

Day 8

I take back saying that it was cold the other day. I have never seen it THIS cold here! The wind chill is -4! BRR!

Day 7

While I am an Arkansas fan, I am a Texas fan as well. (Brian's the real Texas fan in the home.) In honor of the National Championship game, here's my Longhorn dishtowel Brian's sister gave me for Christmas!
